Mobile Networks Department (MONET)


The goal of the MONET department is to optimize the performance of future heterogeneous and dynamic (wireless) networks by combining knowledge on both data and cellular networks.

Some topics dealt within the department are: elastic mobile networks (including software-defined mobile networks and network resource virtualization), big data for mobile networks (including self-organized networks and cognitive network optimization), and  sustainable mobile networks (including energy efficient algorithms and nearly-zero energy networks). A deep knowledge of the ns-3 simulator and of experimentation, through the EXTREME Testbed®, complements its research work with strong development skills.
